JCPD investigating Monday night shooting

Jefferson City police are seeking suspect Marcus Jordan, 28, of Jefferson City, in connection to a shooting that occurred Monday night.

According to the police, the shooting occurred in the 1000 Block of Buena Vista Street just prior to 10 p.m. Monday night.

Police 911 personnel began receiving calls from multiple residents reporting shots being fired and at least one victim on scene. Jordan is suspected of shooting a 39-year-old victim multiple times after an altercation. The victim suffered gunshot wounds to the torso and hand and is in stable condition at University Hospital.

Witnesses on the scene were able to provide a description of the suspect to authorities and police are currently attempting to locate the subject at this time.

Jordan is listed as being 6 feet tall and 175 pounds, last seen wearing a dark colored, hooded sweatshirt.
