William Woods sweeps baseball trio

MAYFIElD, Ky. - William Woods completed a three-game American Midwest Conference sweep against Mid-Continent University on Saturday.

The Owls rolled to a 17-3 win in the opener, before claiming a 7-2 victory in the series finale.

The sweep gives William Woods (32-9, 17-7) a perfect record on its five-game road trip.

Konrad Kemper (South Callaway High School) hit his first-career home run and tallied four RBI to lead the Owls. Dustin Kremer (Blair Oaks High School) was 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Damon Adrain (Eugene High School) added a hit and an RBI.

William Woods posted its 30th win of the year on Friday in blowout fashion, defeating Mid-Continent University 12-3 to take Game 1.

Kremer was 2-for-5 and drove in a run to help lead the Owls, who host Missouri Valley College at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
