Hawkins wins pair

ROLLA - Adriel Hawkins of Missouri S&T won a pair of events, one in a school-record time, Saturday at the Dewey Allgoood Invitational.

Hawkins (Jefferson City High School) broke the mark in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.00. That also improved his NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark in the event. The previous record of 22.01 was set by Rodrick McDonald in 2006.

Hawkins also reached the provisional qualifying standard in the 100-meter dash with his winning time of 10.54.
