A Jefferson City woman has been charged in connection with a shooting that occurred Friday night.
Shainel McCallum, 27, of 428 E. Dunklin St., is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a defaced firearm.
A Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement shows McCallum was the resident of the apartment on East Dunklin where the shooting occurred at 6:30 p.m. Friday night.
A male inside the residence was shot once in the torso. Witnesses said the shot came from a car that drove by the residence.
McCallum let police search her residence and marijuana was found in several locations along with unused baggies, two digital scales and a firearm.
McCallum admitted the marijuana and firearm belonged to her and that she sells marijuana.
