LU women No. 3, men 13th

The Lincoln women's track and field team remained No. 3 in the country while the Blue Tiger men moved all the way up to No. 13 in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Association's Division II rankings released Tuesday.

There was little change at the top of the women's rankings, as Grand Valley State continues to be No. 1 in the country after receiving 201.12 points. Johnson C. Smith earned 163.47 to check in at No. 2, while Lincoln held its spot at No. 3 with 162.18.

The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association received the most points (496.85) by any conference in this week's poll despite having just three of its programs ranked, down from five a week ago. Central Missouri earned a No. 9 ranking with 117.47 points, while Pittsburg State checked in at No. 20 with 56.07.

A successful performance by the Lincoln men at the Missouri Relays on Saturday propelled the Blue Tigers up to No. 13 in the poll.

Lincoln, which garnered 72.58 points, was one of four MIAA programs ranked on the men's side, tying the league with the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and Lone Star Conference for the most teams represented among the Top 25.

No. 8 Pittsburg State was the MIAA's highest-ranked team after receiving 105.03, while No. 20 Central Missouri (50.03) and No. 22 Missouri Southern (47.25) also represented the league.

Saint Augustine's continues to maintain a significant lead in the men's rankings, earning 290.19 points to top this week's poll. No. 2 Adams State tallied 194.50, while Texas A&M Kingsville (185.45), Ashland (174.32) and Chico State (149.23) round out the top five teams.
