Marble moves to 5-0 on year with victory against Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. — Alora Marble (Blair Oaks High School) allowed one earned run on five hits in three innings of relief as No. 16 Missouri finished off No. 20 Auburn for a Southeastern Conference series sweep with a 7-6 win on Sunday.

Marble, a senior, picked up the victory to improve to 5-0, while the Tigers earned their 32nd victory this season. Marble allowed her only earned run of the game with one out in the seventh, but induced a foul pop and groundout to finish the sweep.

The Tigers took a 4-0 lead in the top of the third after Kelsea Roth blasted her third grand slam this season.

Auburn fell to 31-12-1 overall and 6-9 in the SEC.

Missouri is back in action with a midweek doubleheader at Iowa, starting at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
