Tuscumbia wins pair

TUSCUMBIA, Mo. — Tuscumbia swept two games from Jamestown and Northwest: Hughesville on Saturday.

Wyatt Ahart’s solo home run was the difference in a 1-0 win against Jamestown in the opener.

Nick Grimwood was the winner, allowing five hits in six innings to go along with five strikeouts. Orrie Patterson earned the save, striking out two in an inning of work.

Tuscumbia (5-5) posted a 9-4 win against Northwest.

Ahart had three RBI and Zane Humphreys went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Humphreys was the winning pitcher, tossing a complete game while allowing four runs and striking out nine.
