JC man charged after SWAT drug bust Thursday

A Jefferson City man has been charged with selling methamphetamine after being taken into custody during a SWAT operation on Thursday.

Terrill Reynolds, 37, 4804 Westport Drive, is also charged with possession of methamphetamine.

A Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement shows between March 10 and April 10, an undercover officer purchased meth from Reynolds and those sales were recorded.

When the SWAT team served a search warrant at Reynolds' residence, three bags of marijuana, a glass meth pipe, empty baggies containing meth residue, digital scales, hypodermic needles as well as other drug paraphernalia were located throughout the two upstairs bedrooms.

Reynolds told authorities that he is a heavy user of meth and cocaine.

Reynolds also said there was a mirror under his bed with cocaine and meth residue on it.

Court records show Reynolds was out of the department of corrections awaiting appeal on conviction of first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a weapon. He also has convictions for forcible rape and second-degree assault.
