The Food Bank is holding its Stamp out Hunger event May 10 and needs volunteers.
The event serves all Jefferson City food pantries. Organizations can adopt a shift or position and then coordinate their own volunteers.
The following positions and times are available at the Jefferson City Post Office:
• Sorters to sort food as it is brought in - two shifts of 40 people, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and 2-5 p.m.
• Drivers to drive routes and pick up food - one shift beginning at 9 a.m. until the drive is over.
• Riders to ride with drivers to help pick up food - one shift beginning at 9 a.m. until the drive is over.
