Dear Editor:
We do not need a convention center.
What we really need is a new City Council and new mayor.
Reason for this opinion; no interstate highway, drive 30 miles and there is I-70, take the correct exit and as if by magic you are at a convention center. My second reason, no airport within a 100-plus miles to handle large commercial passenger planes. Last I heard a lot of convention folks would chose that form of travel.
Come on, Jefferson City, stop trying to be something we are not, how many more thousands of dollars are we going to waste before you find out the people of this city do not want a convention center?
