Blair Oaks frosh sweep doubleheader

WARDSVILLE, Mo. — The Blair Oaks freshman team swept a doubleheader from the Vienna JV team on Thursday.

Blair Oaks won the opener 10-2 as Thomas Verslues and Tyler Swehla combined for a no-hitter.

Verslues got the win, allowing two unearned runs in four innings on five strikeouts and two walks. Swehla tossed a perfect final frame.

Ben Forck collected three hits, while Jason Rackers had two hits and two RBI.

Blair Oaks won the nightcap 13-10.

Swehla earned the win, allowing five runs (one earned) in 12/3 innings on two hits with three strikeouts.

Clayton Backes had two hits and three RBI, while Verslues added two hits and an RBI and Ethan Rackers had a hit and two RBI.

Blair Oaks (8-2) hosts Southern Boone on Monday.
