Three people are awaiting formal charges following a SWAT operation Thursday morning in Cole County.
Sheriff's department reports show that at approximately 9 a.m., deputies served a search warrant at 4804 Westport Drive. The search warrant was in conjunction with an ongoing MUSTANG investigation.
Several items were seized, including scales, plastic baggies, needles, small bags of marijuana and prescription pills. Methamphetamine residue was also recovered from the scene.
There were a total of six people at the residence, four adults and two children. One male adult and two female adults were taken into custody. The two children were released to the fourth female adult.
The male was arrested for distribution of methamphetamine. One of the females had three warrants from different counties and now is facing an additional charge of possession of a controlled substance. The other female was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
