Missouri tops Missouri State

COLUMBIA - The Missouri Tigers pounded out 15 hits while powering their way to a 9-4 win against the Missouri State Bears on Tuesday night.

Shane Segovia was at the heart of the action for Missouri, as he pounded out three doubles and drove in one run. Jake Ring had two hits and three RBI, Logan Pearson had two hits and two RBI and Dillon Everett had one hit and two RBI.

Also for the Tigers, Eric Anderson had two hits and one RBI and Josh Lester and Dylan Kelly added two hits apiece.

For Missouri State, Joey Hawkins had one hit and two RBI and Eric Cheray and Matt Fultz had one hit and one RBI.

Peter Fairbanks (3-2) started and got the win for Missouri.

Missouri improved to 15-16 on the season, while Missouri State dropped to 13-16.

The Tigers will play a three-game weekend series at Kentucky, beginning Friday, while Missouri State will travel to Bradley for a three-game set starting Friday.
