St. Francis Borgia drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to hand the defending Class 3 state champs its first loss since May 7, 2013, as Fatima fell 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.
Matt Temmen and Hunter Hennier both had a hit and an RBI for the Comets.
Tony Swarthout took the loss, allowing a run on one hit in 2/3 of an inning. Reid Kesel tossed the first six innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits with five strikeouts.
Fatima (4-1) travels Monday to St. Elizabeth.
