Ballot Issues
• Eldon R-1 School District Ballot Question: Shall the Board of Education of the Eldon R-1 School District of Miller County, Missouri, without an estimated increase in the current debt service property tax levy, borrow money in the amount of $5,600,000 million for the purpose of providing funds to combine with resources from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the site development, construction, equipping and furnishing of a Tornado Safe Room/Early Childhood Learning Center; to complete safety and security equipment, lighting, new gym floor at Upper Elementary School, and additional parking at South School; to renovate the fine arts auditorium to accommodate a larger, quality viewing stage and additional seating; to upgrade the technology infrastructure, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems where necessary; to complete improvements to the bus garage area and other remodeling and repair improvements to the existing facilities of the district; and issue bonds for the payment thereof? If this proposition is approved, the adjusted debt service levy of the school district is estimated to remain unchanged at 51 cents per $100 of assessed valuation of real and personal property.
• Morgan County R-2 School District Ballot Question: Shall the Board of Education of the Morgan County R-2 School District be authorized to increase the district's operating tax levy ceiling to $2.90 per $100 of assessed valuation to provide funds for ongoing operating expenses of the district and costs of constructing and equipping an auditorium that will also serve as a tornado safe room? If this question is approved, the district's adjusted operating tax levy is estimated to increase by 15 cents from $2.75 to $2.90 per $100 of assessed valuation.
• Mid-County Fire Protection District Ballot Question: Shall the Board of Directors of the Mid-County Fire Protection District by authorized to levy and additional tax of not more than 12 cents on the $100 assessed valuation to provide funds for the support of the district?
• Moreau Fire Protection District Ballot Question: Shall the Board of Directors of the Moreau Fire Protection District be authorized to increase the rate of levy for the support of the district from a maximum authorized levy of 30 cents to a maximum levy of 55 cents on each $100 of assessed valuation?
• Gravois Special Road District #8 Ballot Question: Shall the Gravois Special Road District #8 of Morgan County continue the levy tax of 10 cents on the hundred dollar valuation, for a period of four years? This is not an increase of the present rate.
• W-3 Neighborhood Improvement Ballot Question: Shall Morgan County, Missouri be authorized to levy an annual assessment of $.5760 per $100 of assessed valuation of real property within the W-3 Neighborhood Improvement District plus $10 against each parcel within the district to be used solely for the cost of maintenance of the improvements pursuant to Rev. Stat. Mo. 67.453 et. seq.?
• Y-10 Neighborhood Improvement Ballot Question: Shall Morgan County, Missouri be authorized to levy an annual assessment of $.0821 per $100 of assessed valuation of real property within the Y-10 Neighborhood Improvement District plus $25 against each parcel within the district to be used solely for the cost of maintenance of the improvements pursuant to Rev. Stat. Mo. 67.453 et. seq.?
• O-275-275A Neighborhood Improvement Ballot Question: Shall Morgan County, Missouri be authorized to levy an annual assessment of $.2540 per $100 of assessed valuation of real property within the O-275-275A Neighborhood Improvement District be used solely for the cost of maintenance of the improvements pursuant to Rev. Stat. Mo. 67.453 et. seq.?
• Lake Road TT-1 and TT-1A Neighborhood Improvement Ballot Question: Shall Morgan County, Missouri be authorized to levy an annual assessment of $1.13 per $100 of assessed valuation of real property within the Lake Road TT-1 and TT-1A Neighborhood Improvement District plus $60 against each parcel within the district to be used solely for the cost of maintenance of the improvements pursuant to Rev. Stat. Mo. 67.453 et. seq.?
