Missouri adds guard to basketball roster

Missouri won't lose its reputation as Transfer University any time soon.

Kevin Punter Jr., a 6-foot-4 shooting guard from State Fair Community College, committed to Missouri on Friday.

Punter announced the decision on his Twitter account, tweeting "I Will Be Spending My Next 2 Years of College Basketball As A Mizzou Tiger!!"

Punter averaged 12.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists last season for State Fair in 29 games. He shot 43.5 percent from the field, including 29.2 percent from 3-point range.

As a junior-college transfer, Punter will be eligible to play immediately. He chose Missouri over offers from Missouri State, Southern, Texas-Arlington, Texas-San Antonio, UTEP and Western Kentucky.

Punter is just another in a long line of transfers under Haith at Missouri. He will be the 12th player to transfer into Missouri under Haith, along with Keion Bell (Pepperdine), Deuce Bello (Baylor), Cameron Biedscheid (Notre Dame), Jabari Brown (Oregon), Jordan Clarkson (Tulsa), Tony Criswell (UAB), Danny Feldmann (Columbia), Alex Oriakhi (Connecticut), Keanau Post (JUCO), Zach Price (Louisville) and Earnest Ross (Auburn).
