As a precautionary measure, officials in Wardsville have issued a boil order advisory.
City Clerk Shirley Stockman said it was issued due to a water line that broke Thursday on Deer Haven Court.
An advisory is issued when water pressure is below 20 psi and until a sample has been passed by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
Residents should boil any water that is to be consumed vigorously for five minutes.
Stockman said the line should be fixed by tomorrow.
