Jays frosh sweep doubleheader

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Jefferson City freshman team swept a doubleheader from Hickman on Tuesday.

The Jays won the first game 10-3.

Jacob Weirich picked up the win. Allen Rottegen and Kole Ahrens both collected four hits, while the latter had three RBI. Austin Mell and Gavin Strobel had two hits apiece, as the former had three RBI.

Jefferson City won the nightcap 6-1.

Hayden Hirschvogel earned the win on the mound. Weirich had two hits and two RBI, while Rottegen added a pair of base hits.

The Jays are now 8-0 on the season.
