ROLLA, Mo. - Helias eased past Rolla 8-1 in tennis action Thursday.
Singles winners for the Lady Crusaders were Ashley Dowden (8-1), Abbey Verslues (8-1), Lauren Highfill (8-1), Becca Shelton (9-7) and Casey Clogston (8-0). Mary Conley fell 6-8.
Helias then swept doubles. Winners were Dowden and Conley (8-3), Verslues and Clogston (8-2) and Highfill and Shelton (8-3).
Helias (11-1) plays in the Hannibal Tournament on Saturday.
Helias won all three singles and four doubles matches in JV action.
