Lawmakers, state officials to receive pay raises January 28, 2015

CROP Walk to raise funds to battle child hunger

The 41st annual Jefferson City CROP Walk for world hunger will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday at Soldiers’ Memorial at Lincoln University.

One-fourth of the donations raised will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Capital City to battle child hunger. The remainder will support Church World Service.

Walkers will meet at 3 p.m.

The Capital Area Interfaith Alliance, which partners with the university to host the event, hopes for 600 walkers and $20,000 in donations.

In addition to raising funds, the event’s goal is to raise awareness of hunger.
