Cardinals move up game time on Saturday

ST. LOUIS (AP) - The St. Louis Cardinals have bumped up the starting time by three hours for Saturday's game against the Chicago Cubs due to the threat of inclement weather.

The forecast called for widespread rain and thunderstorms beginning in the early evening and increasing in intensity throughout the night.

The team said Friday that potential postseason implications prompted the move to a 12:15 p.m. CDT start to minimize the possibility of a delay or postponement. All ticket holders will be mailed a voucher for a complimentary game next season.
