Suspects sought after convenience store robbery

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Jefferson City convenience store on Wednesday night.

Officers were called to Convenient Food Mart, 426 Brooks St., around 10:43 p.m.

Police report two black male suspects entered the store, at least one armed with a handgun, and forced an employee to the back of the store. They then took an undetermined amount of cash from a safe and fled. No employees of the business were injured during the robbery.

Officers initially were looking for a white, four-door Chevrolet Lumina as the possible getaway vehicle. They also described the suspects as wearing black hoodies and black ski masks.
