The Eldon Police Department responded this morning to a 2:42 a.m. report of a male subject possibly being held against his will at a residence on South Grand Avenue.
Officers could see individuals in the residence who would not acknowledge the officers' presence, and were told the suspects were armed with guns, according to a news release from the police department.
Several individuals exited the house upon arrival of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Miller County Sheriff's Department as officers prepared to make entry. The scene is now secure, and investigation is ongoing.
