Borghardt named NAIA offensive player of the week

LEESBURG, Va. - Central Methodist sophomore quarterback Kaleb Borghardt was named the Beyond Sports Network (BSN) Week Four NAIA National Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

In a 37-36 win Saturday at Culver-Stockton, Borghardt (California High School) posted career highs in completions (25), passing yards (300) and passing touchdowns (four). He was 25-of-36 through the air for 300 yards with four touchdowns, one interception and added 45 rushing yards on a season-high 12 carries.

In three games this season, Borghardt ranks third in the Heart of America Athletic Conference in total offense (285.7 yards per game) and fourth in passing (238.3 yards per game).

BSN, a sports media and event company, gives weekly national awards for the top performances in the FBS, FCS, Division II, Division III, and NAIA.
