Softball: Helias goes 1-1

LIBERTY, Mo. - The Helias Lady Crusaders wrapped up play Saturday in the Liberty Tournament by splitting a pair of games.

Helias opened with a 9-3 loss to Timberland. Jordyn Nappier had two hits and two RBI for the Lady Crusaders. Lindsey Steinbeck took the loss, working 3 2/3 innings. She allowed seven hits and three walks while striking out one. Allie Aschraft pitched the final 1 1/3 innings.

Helias then blanked Raytown 10-0 in three innings. Steinbeck allowed one hit and struck out two to get the win. Lauren Morrow had three RBI for the Lady Crusaders, while Hayley Strope drove in two runs.

Helias (6-11) will play Tuesday at Fatima.
