Nixon to attend Obama visit in Kansas City (VIDEO)

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon is planning to join President Barack Obama for a visit of Ford Motor Co. facility near Kansas City.

Obama is scheduled to travel today to Ford's new stamping plant in Liberty, which is located near the company's assembly in Claycomo.

The governor's office said Thursday that Nixon planned to attend. Missouri lawmakers approved an incentives package for automotive manufacturing in 2010. The proposal passed during a summer special legislative session after a senator ended a more than 20-hour filibuster.
