VIENNA - Newburg pitcher Shelby Friend did it all Friday night.
The senior struck out 10 batters and hit a three-run homer as Newburg defeated Vienna 6-2.
Friend allowed four hits and two walks. The Lady Eagles scored two in the seventh and loaded the bases before Newburg escaped with the victory.
Haley Ragen took the loss for Vienna. She allowed four earned runs on eight hits along with three walks and three strikeouts.
Vienna (3-3) plays Monday at Iberia.
