The Helias Lady Crusaders dropped a pair of games in the Capital City Invitational on Friday.
Helias lost its opener to Kirksville 4-2. Lindsey Steinbeck took the loss. She allowed eight hits and struck out two in seven innings. Haley Strope and Paige Bange each had a hit and one RBI.
Helias lost its second game 12-1 to Lee's Summit. Allie Ashcroft pitched the first four innings, while Kendalyn Hall finished the game. Kaysie Scheuler and Julie Harris each had a hit for Helias.
The Lady Crusaders (1-7) are back in action at 9 a.m. today.
