College Volleyball: Miners in Alabama

FLORENCE, Ala. - Missouri S&T went 1-1 on Saturday to wrap up play in the North Alabama Tournament.

The Miners opened the day with a 32-30, 25-23, 26-24 victory against the host school. Krista Haslag (Helias High School) finished with 10 kills. Missouri S&T then fell to Harding 25-11, 25-18, 25-19. Haslag finished with seven kills.

S&T fell to Harding later Saturday 11-25, 18-25, 19-25. Haslag had seven kills and two block assists.

The Miners opened the tournament Friday by ripping Christian Brothers in three straight games.

The Miners steamrolled to a 25-18, 25-23, 25-14 win in the match.

Krista Haslag (Helias High School) tied for the match high in kills (11) and also had match highs in solo blocks (2) and assisted blocks (6).

The Miners dropped the second match Friday to Rollins 28-26, 23-25, 21-25, 21-25 as Haslag finished with nine kills and four blocks assists.

The Miners are now 4-4 on the season.
