CAMDENTON, Mo. - The Jefferson City Lady Jays rallied to win three matches Tuesday and took a 6-3 decision against Bolivar.
In singles, Athira Nambiar came back from a 4-5 deficit to win her match 7-5. In doubles, the team of Paige Smith and Eden Hoogveld was down 3-5 before coming back to take a 7-6 (9-7) victory. The duo of Nambiar and Madeline Brown trailed 4-5 before taking a 7-5 victory.
Jefferson City's other three wins came in singles - Kelly Raithel (6-3), Smith (6-2) and Hoogveld (6-0). Falling in singles were Delta Verslues (2-6) and Brown (4-6), while the doubles team of Raithel and Verslues lost 2-6.
The matches were limited to one set due to the heat.
The Lady Jays (3-0) are back in action Thursday at home against Battle.
