Helias soccer blanks Washington

WASHINGTON — A trend continues for the Helias soccer team.

The Crusaders blanked Washington 2-0 on Monday for their third straight victory by that score to open the season.

Helias led 1-0 at halftime after a goal by Ian Luebbert. Dominic Salamone added a second-half goal with an assist from Kyle Daledovich.

Helias (3-0) plays again Thursday at St. Francis Borgia.

The Crusaders won the JV game 1-0. Grant Stokes scored the lone goal with an assist from Zack Simon.
