Your Opinion: Honor Flight veteran encourages participation

Dear Editor:

I read your paper every day. I think it’s about time to read some good news.

I was a veteran on Honor Flight 24 on Aug. 26 from Columbia to Washington D.C. It was a wonderful, memorable experience and I and all veterans were never so honored in our lives. We saw and toured all the war memorials and the National Cemetery and watched the changing of the Guard.

I want to urge all veterans that haven’t filled out an application to do so.

The address is: Central Missouri Honor Flight, 1400 Forum Blvd., St. 38, Box 334, Columbia, MO. 65203.

It will be the trip of a lifetime. The officers are Mary, Steve, Sharon Paulsell and I want to thank them for all the tireless work they do for all veterans.

I would like to see the News Tribune cover the next Central Missouri Honor Flight and it will be a rewarding experience.
