BizBeat: Fall moves in with Halloween store

Now that school has started, and Labor Day weekend is upon us, the next big thing is Halloween.

The seasonal store, Halloween City, has moved into the former discount furniture store in Jefferson City at 2009 Missouri Blvd. The one-stop shop for Halloween decor and costumes has previously been located farther down the boulevard, next to Best Buy.

Halloween City will open for business Sept. 7. The store offers “head-to-toe” costuming, from wigs to shoes to glow-in-the-dark nail polish and face paint. An interactive haunted forest is also on display, allowing customers to see and listen to many spooky creatures.
