COLUMBIA - Helias started the playoffs with a bang.
The top-seeded Lady Crusaders eased past eighth-seeded Battle 25-6, 25-12 in the first round of the Class 4 District 9 Tournament on Monday at Hickman.
Anna Murphy, Tory Wiley and Lindsey Griggs all tallied four kills. Ashley Dudenhoeffer added nine assists and five service points, while Brittney Engelbrecht had eight assists and five service points.
Helias takes on fourth-seeded Troy in a semifinal at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
