Blue Jays fall to Northwestern

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Westminster Blue Jays fell behind 22-0 to start and eventually dropped a 36-21 decision to Northwestern (Minn.) on Saturday.

Austin Kempker (Blair Oaks High School) caught a 15-yard touchdown pass for Westminster in the fourth quarter.

Mike Washington (Jefferson City High School) led the Blue Jays with 110 receiving yards, while Kempker ended up with 102. Each caught eight passes, tying for the game high.

C.J. Vaughan (Jefferson City High School) had an interception he returned 25 yards. He also added five solo tackles.

Bret Robertson (California High School) added four solo tackles for the Blue Jays, while Jeremy Hill (Southern Boone High School) had one solo stop.

The Blue Jays are now 2-6 overall and 2-4 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference.
