The South Callaway Lady Bulldogs battled back but missed their chance to capture their first state softball title in school history on Saturday in Springfield.
South Callaway scrambled for 2 runs in the final inning, but Bishop LeBlond held on for the 8-6 win to capture the Class 2 championship.
