For old time's sake: Tigers down OKC at Hearnes Center (VIDEO)

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri basketball turned back the clock on Friday.

The Tigers defeated Oklahoma City University 73-48 in an exhibition game. But that was merely a sideshow to the other events.

The Tigers welcomed back the 1993-94 team that went 14-0 in the Big 8. And they did so in their old home, the Hearnes Center.

More than 9,000 fans turned out to watch the game in the building where Missouri won its last regular-season conference title. With the future of the old building in question, it could be the last basketball game Missouri plays there. Former coach Norm Stewart addressed the crowd at halftime.

As far as the game, the Tigers had little trouble in their exhibition opener as they handled the NAIA team.

Missouri led 43-24 at halftime, and despite a few struggles in the second half, Missouri pulled away for an easy victory.

The Tigers were led in scoring by Jabari Brown who finished with 15 points. Earnest Ross added 13 and Johnathan Williams had 10 points and seven rebounds. The Tigers shot 52 percent from the field but hit just 5-of-16 3-pointers and 14-of-28 free throws.

The Tigers return to Mizzou Arena on Friday for an exhibition game against the University of Central Missouri. The regular season opener is set for Friday, Nov. 8 against Southeastern Louisiana.
