COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - The quarterback situation for No. 5 Missouri just got precarious.

The Tigers are already without James Franklin, who is out for at least two more weeks with a shoulder sprain. Now reserve quarterback Corbin Berkstresser is out indefinitely with a torn medial meniscus in his left knee.

The school said Friday the injury occurred Oct. 15 during practice. He had arthroscopic surgery Thursday and is expected to be on crutches for a month. He played in 10 games last year, throwing for 1,059 yards and five touchdowns.

Freshman Eddie Printz will take over as redshirt freshman Maty Mauk's backup. Mauk debuted as the starter in a 36-17 win over Florida last week, throwing for 295 yards, a touchdown and an interception. He will start Saturday against No. 20 South Carolina.
