Helias wins eighth straight in volleyball

CAMDENTON — The Helias Lady Crusaders won their eight consecutive match Monday night, defeating Camdenton 25-7, 25-12.

Brittney Engelbrecht registered 16 assists and 12 service points, Erica Haslag added seven kills and seven service points and Anna Murphy had six kills and three blocks. Tory Wiley collected six kills and Blake Berhorst had five digs.

Helias (26-5) plays Thursday at Jefferson City.

Helias won the JV match 25-13, 25-13 to improve to 28-4 on the season.

Haley Samson had eight service points and five digs, Andi Gladbach added eight assists and Hannah Eynard and Suzie Kuensting both had five kills.

The Lady Crusaders won the freshman match 25-15, 25-11 to improve to 26-4.

Morgan Fischer registered 16 service points and seven assists, Abby Shepard had seven assists and seven digs and Kelsey Schenewerk added five kills.
