Lady Jays sweep Hickman

COLUMBIA — The Jefferson City Lady Jays bowled over the Hickman Kewpies in three volleyball matches Thursday night.

In the varsity match, Jefferson City cruised to a 25-16, 25-17 victory.

Abby McKnelly had eight kills for the winners, Madison Bond added six and Mallory York had five digs.

The Lady Jays (18-11-2) will host Cole Camp on Tuesday.

In the JV match, the Lady Jays moved to 26-4-1 on the season by ripping the Kewpies 25-5, 25-7.

Jenna Massie had 18 assists and 10 service points for Jefferson City, Cara Caby had five kills and Maddie Fink had five digs.

Jefferson City won the freshman match 25-9, 25-9.

Katelyn Runzi had seven assist for the Lady Jays (18-6) and Mackenzie Lochhead had four kills.
