JCPD investigating another robbery

Jefferson City police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

Police reports that at 5:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Scenic Drive in reference to a armed robbery that just occurred.

The victim, a 58 year-old male Jefferson City resident, fled the area to a neighbor's home and called 911.

The victim told police that a male subject he knew had just robbed him with a pistol and took cash from him and was possibly still in his residence taking items.

Officers arrived on scene and set up a perimeter around the residence.

The decision was made to make entry into the residence, which was searched with the use of Jefferson City Police K-9 Buzz and other officers.

The suspect was not found, however the K-9 tracked the suspect to the 200 block of Haaf Drive where it lost the track.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Authorities do not believe this robbery was related to a robbery reported Monday night on Elizabeth Street.
