Convicted molester missing in central Missouri

ELDON, Mo. (AP) - The Morgan County Sheriff's Department says it is looking for a convicted child molester.

The department says Timothy Register took off his court-ordered GPS bracelet Sunday and he has not been seen since then.

Register was ordered to wear the bracelet after being convicted in July 2013 of statutory sodomy, statutory rape and two counts of child molestation.

KRCG reports (http://bit.ly/18lnJzz ) officials found the GPS unit in Eldon. A search of Register's Sunrise Beach home found a letter saying he would not return to prison.

County officials say Register is considered to be dangerous.
