Helias sweeps three with Quincy

QUINCY, Ill. - The Helias Crusaders won varsity, JV and freshman matches Monday night at Quincy.

The varsity captured a 25-7, 28-30, 25-14 victory.

Brittney Engelbrecht had 20 assists, 15 service points and nine digs for the Lady Crusaders; Anna Murphy had 15 kills and three blocks; and Ashley Dudenhoeffer added 13 assists. Also for Helias, Erica Haslag had 12 service points, Blake Berhorst had 15 digs and 10 service points and Maddie Dunkmann had 15 digs.

The Lady Crusaders are is now 21-4.

In the JV match, Helias ran its record to 27-4 with a 25-22, 25-20 win.

Hannah Eynard had seven digs, six kills and three blocks for Helias, Megan Brown had eight digs and five kills, Andi Gladbach had four service points and Heidi Strobel had 11 assists.

The freshmen won 25-15, 25-15 to raise their record to 21-2.

Abby Shepard had nine assists and eight digs, Maddie Neuner had 11 service points and Kayla Bax had five kills.

The varsity and freshmen will play tournaments Saturday, the varsity at the Ozark Grand Slam and the freshmen at Waynesville.
