3 hurt in Cole Co. accident

Three people were injured in a three vehicle accident, Monday morning, in Cole County.
Missouri Highway Patrol reports show Jennifer Poynter, 30, Centertown, fell asleep while driving on U.S. 50, a mile west of Truman Boulevard, around 7:35 a.m.
She crossed the median and struck a vehicle driven by Paula Burnett, 51, Jefferson City.
A vehicle driven by Chris Parks, 53, Jefferson City, swerved to avoid a collision, but traveled off the left side of the highway and overturned.
Parks and Poynter had minor injuries.
Burnett was treated for moderate injuries.
All three were wearing seat belts.
