Your Opinion: "Palliative care' study foreshadows death panels

Obamacare Alert! Here come the death panels!

The National Institute of Health (NIH), part of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), has begun to solicit applications for federal grants to study ways to provide "palliative care" to older Americans at points earlier than end-of-life, including during time spent in assisted living facilities, short-term and long-term care facilities, and even ambulatory care. The main focus of palliative care is on providing patients with relief from the pain, symptoms, and stress of a serious illness rather than curing the illness or disease itself.

Hey all you liberal Obamacare supporters, here's your chance to earn $275,000 dollars. All you have to do is go to http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/PA-files/PA-13-354.html and apply for the grant. Why just think, you could be a part of this ground breaking opportunity! Why, I bet you would have your picture and published articles proudly displayed in the "Obamacare Weekly Brag" if you could come up with the best ways to save money on Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid!

Who knows, maybe Hillary will ask you to run with her in 2016 as vice president! The opportunities for advancement in the Democrat party are boundless! Just think too, with all this money they are saving by letting all the old people die, like WWII vets and other useless old people, they can give away so many more cell phones, food stamps, etc. to buy more votes.

Remember Obama's reply in 2009 to Jane Sturm when she asked about her 100 year old mother's need for a pacemaker? His reply: "Well now that's a tough one-that costs a lot and maybe we will have to say, just take a pill." (search "obama jane sturm" to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-dQfb8Wqvo). Well folks, especially all you Obama worshippers, wake up! As much as you hate to think about it - you're going to be old someday.

My mother passed away on 9/20/13 at the age of 99. She had surgeries on both feet months before her death in attempts to stem an infection. I can only imagine what it would have been like for a doctor to tell me that I was going to have to just let her die because it was the law. Think about it, all you Obamacare supporters, how are you going to feel when it's your mother's time.
