BizBeat: New owners to continue fitness center

Nick and Ashley Swoboda have added more weight to their shoulders at Jefferson City’s Anytime Fitness location. Maybe not literally, but the couple have taken on new responsibility as the local fitness center’s new owners.

“Tom and Lisa (Morgan) did a wonderful job. We’re happy with the way they left it,” Ashley said of the former owners.

Having worked at Anytime Fitness since it opened nearly four years ago, Ashley said she will continue to have a strong presence in the center. She started out with the company as a trainer, later becoming manager. Nick, who works for the National Guard, will also have a strong presence during his time off.

“Ashley and I share a love for fitness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. We understand that healthy lifestyles involve more than just joining a gym, but often, that can be the first step in the right direction,” Nick said.

The couple officially took over Sept. 1 and are running enrollment specials in both October and November.

“At Anytime Fitness, we pride ourselves on not being ‘just a gym,’ but rather a fitness family. Whether your goals are to be more active, lose weight, increase your strength, or maintain a healthy balance, we want to help,” Nick said.

The couple said their clients are what makes their gym great. “At Anytime Fitness, we are not just about results, but rather the happy and healthy journey we take together to get your results. Anytime Fitness is where community matters and healthy happens.”
