Washburn handles Lincoln 58-7

TOPEKA, Kan. - About the only good news for Lincoln is the schedule gets easier from this point on.

The Blue Tigers were never in Saturday's game against Washburn as they dropped their fourth straight 58-7.

The Ichabods scored the game's first 51 points and led 21-0 at the end of the first quarter and 38-0 at halftime.

Lincoln's only score came on a 4-yard touchdown run by Morris Henderson with 11:18 left in the fourth quarter. But that time the 15th-ranked Ichabods had done more than enough damage for one day.

Lincoln quarterback Percy Turner completed 24-of-42 passes for 245 yards and an interception. Henderson led the Blue Tigers with 97 yards on 26 carries.
