The Jefferson City Area Board of Realtors is sponsoring the 11th annual Keep the Home Fires Burning chili supper from 4-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Eagles Club.
Entertainment will be provided by Roadhouse Band beginning at 5 p.m. In addition to the chili supper, a canned food drive and raffle is also being held.
Proceeds from the event benefit Samaritan Center to help raise money for utility assistance. During the past 10 years, approximately $51,250 has been raised.
Tickets for the supper are $7.50 and are available from any Realtor and the board office, 1906 Bubba Lane.
Samaritan Center is a non-denominational interfaith support agency serving the Mid-Missouri area. Almost 1,500 families are served each month.
Since Jan. 1, the center has provided $49,140.37 in energy assistance to families in need, with $18,771.40 of it coming from Ameren's Dollar More program.
