ST. LOUIS - Another traditional St. Louis soccer heavyweight goes down to the Jefferson City Jays.

C.B.C. (9-6-5) opened the season ranked No. 1 in Class 3 by the Missouri High School Soccer Coaches Association and is No. 4 in the poll released Thursday.

Nathan Luebbert and Mervyn John assisted on Woodruff's goals, while Alex Hilke got the shutout in goal.

Jefferson City (13-2, ranked No. 7 in Class 3) will play this weekend at the Kickapoo Tournament in Springfield. The Jays open against Nixa at 2 p.m. today.
