COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Columbia residents concerned about speeding cars in their neighborhoods may soon be able to borrow radar guns from the city to monitor dangerous drivers.
The Columbia Daily Tribune (bit.ly/19kORPg ) reports that the city Public Works Department is considering whether to make three radar guns available to residents as a way of measuring local traffic patterns and identifying trouble spots.
Traffic engineer Lee White says the department would likely require residents to leave a $200 deposit to borrow the devices.
